One pick. One Sunday. Survive.

Player Onboarding Guide

Get Me To Sunday runs your NFL survivor pool. Every week you back one team you think will win.

If that team wins, you live to see another Sunday. If it loses, your entry is out for the season.

You can only use a team once, so the season is a long game of saving your best cards for later.

Getting started

  1. 01

    Create your account

Open the app and choose Create account. You'll need an email address, a password of at least eight characters, and a display name.

Your display name is how the rest of the league sees you on Standings and Who's In, so use something they'll recognize.

    • Everyone uses their own real account — there is no shared login.
    • You're signed in immediately after creating the account.
  2. 02

    Join your pool

Your commissioner gives you an invite code. On your first screen, choose Join a pool and paste the code exactly as it was sent.

Once you're in, the pool appears in the switcher at the top right. If you play in more than one pool, use that switcher to change which one you're looking at.

  3. 03

    Create or claim your entry

An entry is your line in the pool. Go to My picks and name your entry — that name shows up next to yours in the standings.

If your commissioner already created an entry for you, claim it instead of making a new one.

    • Some pools allow more than one entry per person. If yours does, each entry tracks its own used teams and its own survival.
    • Switch between your entries at the top of My picks.
  4. 04

    Make your pick

On My picks, choose the week, then tap the team you want from that week's matchups. That's the whole pick.

Teams you've already used in a prior week are locked out and can't be selected again. The full 32-team grid at the bottom of the screen shows used versus available at a glance.

    • You can change your pick as many times as you like until the week locks.
    • The screen opens on the earliest week you haven't picked yet.
  5. 05

    Know the deadline

Each week has a deadline. When it passes — or when your commissioner locks the week manually — picks are final.

Before the lock, nobody can see your pick but you and the commissioner. After the lock, every pick in the pool is visible on League picks.

    • No pick submitted by the lock means no protection that week.
    • The commissioner can set or correct a pick even after the lock if something needs fixing.
  6. 06

    Survive or go out

When the games are done, the commissioner enters the winners and scores the week.

Your team won: you advance and your status stays ALIVE. Your team lost: your entry is marked OUT · WK n and it stops picking for the rest of the season.

  7. 07

    Where to look

Five screens cover everything you'll need during the season.

    • My picks — your entry, your week, your pick. Only ever yours.
    • Results — what happened each week and how your entry fared.
    • League picks — everyone's picks, once the week is locked.
    • Standings — every entry, week by week, alive first.
    • Who's in — the simplest view: still in versus eliminated.
  8. 08

    Winning and the early split

The pool runs until one entry is left standing. That entry is the CHAMPION and a banner goes up on Standings.

Your commissioner can also end the pool early — for example if only a few entries remain and everyone agrees to stop. In that case the pool is split among every entry still alive at that moment.

Questions

I forgot to pick. What now?

Once the week locks, a missing pick can't be added by you. Talk to your commissioner — they can set a pick on your behalf if your pool allows it.

Can I change my mind?

Yes, any number of times, right up until the week locks. After that it's final.

Why can't I see anyone else's pick?

That's by design. Picks stay private until the week is locked so nobody can copy or counter-pick. After the lock, League picks shows everything.

My entry is out. Can I still watch?

Absolutely. You keep full access to Standings, Results, League picks, and Who's in for the rest of the season.

Can I have two entries?

Only if your commissioner allows it. Each entry survives or dies on its own and keeps its own list of used teams.

Who do I ask about money?

Buy-ins and payouts are handled by your commissioner outside the app. Get Me To Sunday tracks picks and survival, not payments.
